3D Printers Summary

3D Printing Reflection:  I think that a 3D printer can be very beneficial to the schools that have access to them.  There are several different ways these printers can be used to help benefit the learning of students of all ages.  Objects that can be printed can help students learn easier by using a visual representation of whatever is currently being taught.     MakerBot: MakerBot print is used to prepare, manage, monitor, and share 3D print files. MakerBot has materials that can be purchased to help maximize the quality of 3D printers.  Overall MakerBot is a great quality of 3D printer and material that I could use if I ever decide on purchasing my own 3D printer.   Thingiverse: Thingiverse is a great website that has many different 3D objects that have already been designed and created.  This would be very beneficial to use if someone has something they need to print but do not have enough time to design their own.   Tinke...

Khan Academy Video

Khan Academy Video:    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USIQ-DN15Oo For our Khan Academy assignment I watched a video that describes different shapes to students.  This video is obviously for an extremely young group of students.  A tone is used that will draw the students attention.  In this videos students are being taught about shapes.  This video only goes over a few different shapes but the voice of the fox is a voice that would help keep young children's attention.  This video helps to explain shapes along with how many sides they have.

Google Classroom Reflection

Google classroom is a great tool that allows students to access their work outside of the classroom.  It allows teachers to keep assignments in a place where they will not easily be misplaced.  It is a great platform that teachers can use to post assignments so students can access them from home if they are absent or if they do not finish their assignments at school.  It is a quick and easy platform that can help teachers interact with students of all ages.

Three Articles: Questions & Comments

I think it is key to pay attention to how technology is used and to not overuse it or use it for the wrong reasons.  Technology has drastically changed how a modern classroom is today.  Most classrooms have some kind of technology that students are required to use on the daily.  A negative aspect to consider is that technology has changed the way kids communicate.  A lot of kids today are not taught good communicating skills because they spend a lot of their time inside on some sort of technology.

How technology has changed our lives

Technology has a large affect on children and what they like to spend their time doing in todays world.   If families encouraged their children to stay off of their technology they would help teach them the power of social interaction
